On November 20, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Yin Chengwu met with H.E. Mr.Boakai, President-elect of Liberia.Both sides exchanged views on China-Liberia relations and practical cooperation.
Yin congratulated H.E. Mr.Boakai on his election as the president, stated that China and Liberia enjoy a deep friendship and are good friends and partners in trying times. Both countries join hand in hand in advancing national development on the basis of mutual respect. Over the years, the cooperation between China and Liberia has been fruitful in various fields. China appreciates Liberia's firm adherence to the one-China principle and is willing to continue to deepen friendly cooperation with Liberia in various fields, promote China-Liberia comprehensive cooperative partnership to continuously make new progress, and better benefit the two peoples.
H.E. Mr. Boakai thanked Yin’s congratulations and China for its long-term valuable support to Liberia's economic and social development, reiterated that Liberia will firmly adhere to the one-China principle and hopes to strengthen practical cooperation with China in agriculture, education, etc.
